2014 Jul Tags

 I love this technique of tag, specially making the sand texture at the bottom of the tag. It is really great inspiration by using the clear UTEE, Distress Embossing Powder, Distress Glitter and Glossy Accents

 

As I haven't brought the new sea horse die,  I use the Tim Holtz Sea Horse Blue Print Rubble Stamp to make one. I use the watercolor card stock and stamp for six layers (actually I use only 3 layers for the finish product). I stick them together to create the "Chipboard". I colored it with Distress Marker and also using the crackle paint to make the texture.  It still looks great. Right?

 

The time consuming part is cutting the sea horse by using scissor.

 

I use the similar method for making the die cut "chipboard" of the Sea Stars and the fish. But, this time, I use the Distress Paint and put the distress embossing powder on it which similar to Tim's advised. Without the bubbles embossing folder, I use the Sizzix Dots background to replace. It still matches with the whole theme.

 

 

It really great inspiration of this tag and match with the hot Summer Holiday for me.

Other than using the grungeboard and mirror sheet, I also used the Silver metal sheet coloring with Alcohol ink (Pebble, Pitch Black and Carmel color, nice metal effect!! ) for the Sizzix-frameworks-die-honeycomb to made the background. Can you see that wil some embossing pattern on it?

 

I like use flowers as embellishment all the time. This flower die Bigz Tattered Pinecone is one of my favorite die. 

 

 

Due to the mirror sheet reflection, it shows some different color on the honeybomb background.

Funny!!

2014 Mar tags

The tags are inspired by Tim Holtz Bolg.  It is quite a difficult technique for this kind of stamping.  (I made a mistake on the egg thus it was stamping on the second tags first time.)   I really like the marker splitzer which is easier to handle with stencil while mist cannot have this effect.  Let's enjoy papercrafting.

Precious Music Box- It is precious not because of its material used. It is precious because of handmade by you. Of course, it is the paper-crafting workshop which we will use "paper" to make it.  We also make use of Metal sheet for decoration. CHA's items are normally available in HK in late March or early April. To meet the Valentine's Inspiration, I have to try to make the own heart Background stencil by using Mask and dies.

 Like What Tim Holtz's Blog introduced, I have use the Distress Stain to create the background and use the distress ink pad with my "Heart Background" Stencil to made the background color.

 

I like to use the emboss it Pen to make those area which distress ink has already dry.

Its helped to cover those you want to have embossing powder!!

 

Without the Industrious Stickers Border, I use the Foil tape to replaced it. Can you see that in the left hand side of the tag?

I have inked with the Alcohol ink to make it more vintage tone.

 Like what Tim Holtz' Blog mentioned, Iuse the Mini Love Struck Set die cut
to add the distress glitter on the Cupid and hearts. And also the "Always forever-I love you" stamp with the blackboard effect.

12 Tags of 2013 - December 2013

 

Actually, it was a late post. 

As I really want to try the Modeling film of “clearly for art”, as a result, I have late for completing last tags in the early of 2014. I just received in the late of Jan 2014.

This film is cool!! Although I am not using the bright color as Tim Holtz used. 

But I like these soft color effect too.

 Without the SPLATTER BRUSH (It's really difficult to find in HK.), what I use is the Baby Milk Bottle Cleaning Brushes. It is not as the same effect of the Splatter Brush.(I need to work hard to find the same brush!! I think)  But at least, it was a Good Try!!
